Ko Tao and Ko Nangyuan snorkeling tour

Ko Tao is also known as the turtle island as its shape resembles one. Ko Tao's little sister island, Ko Nangyuan, is a private island that consists of three smaller islands connected together by a beautiful sandbank. Together, these islands form four four bays with crystal-clear water and no strong current, white sandy beaches , a variety of colorful fishes and fascinating coral reefs that offer optimal conditions for snorkeling. We offer the tour on a high speed catamaran as well as on the VIP Speedboat. If you got children in your group or have sensitive back we advise our guest to take the high-speed catamaran for this trip. It is almost as fast fast as a speedboat, yet more comfortable. These modern, state-of-the-art vessels feature an air-conditioned VIP cabin, comparable in comfort to a 1st class airplane cabin. On-board facilities include a snack bar, sun deck and toilet facilities.

If you are looking for an adventure and would not mind some waves and bumpy ride on the way, we would like to recommend joining the VIP Speedboat for the snorkeling tour to Koh Tao and Ko Nangyuan.

Some travelers choose to travel by speedboat, as they believe the trip on the speedboat will be a very fast mode of transportation. If the weather conditions are perfect the speedboat will make it to Koh Tao in 1 hour. However, some of the days we are experiencing a wave height of more then one meter. This means the speedboat has to slow down, eliminating any speed benefits, while at the same time the ride can get very bumpy and even uncomfortable.

When reserving your snorkeling tour with us, you can select the best option in accordance to forecasted weather condition. If you selected the VIP speedboat and weather condition forecasted for your tour date are not favorable we will attempt to contact you asking your permission to change the date or changing to the high speed catamaran trip.

High Speed Catamaran will take you to Ko Nangyuan in about 1 hour and 30 minutes where you will transfer to our snorkeling boat. Within 5 minutes, the snorkeling boat will arrive at Mango Bay, one of the most spectacular beaches of Ko Tao island. Then you can explore this amazing bay full of friendly, colorful fishes and soft and hard corals for an hour and a half. Mango Bay is famous for spotting turtles and crystal-clear water year round. The snorkeling equipment will be provided for you, as well as a life jacket so you can float around looking at the beautiful fishes and corals care-free.

Afterwards, our snorkeling boat will take you back to Ko Nangyuan where a delicious buffet lunch with a wide variety of foods (including vegetarian) will be served in a fine restaurant overlooking the perfect beach and bright blue bays. Currently, we are the only operator that that provides lunch on Ko Nangyuan, and elimination lengthy transfer from the snorkeling site to a restaurant and then then to Ko Nangyuan. With us, you do not have to wait, when you are ready, you are free to explore Ko Nangyuan beaches and amazing marine life.

After lunch, you will have ample time to snorkel some more and visit other famous snorkeling locations, all within a 5 minutes walk, such as the 'Japanese Gardens', 'Twins' and the 'Koh Nangyuan Pinnacle'. If you feel adventurous, there is the opportunity to explore the island as well. Some people take this time to climb the hills; it is a short but steep climb to the viewpoint where you can enjoy the spectacular views over the beautiful blue bays and nearby Koh Tao (a real "Kodak-moment"). Other people take this time to relax and sunbathe on the island's perfect sandy beaches or just enjoy the crystal-clear water of the tranquil bays.

The snorkeling sites are clearly marked and closed off for all boats, so you can completely engulf yourself in the snorkeling experience without a worry in the world.

Included in this tour are transfers to and from your hotel, a light breakfast, soft drinks on board, buffet lunch, the use of snorkeling equipment, a life jacket, full insurance coverage, the admission fee to the Koh Nangyuan private island, and an English-speaking guide.

07:00 - 7:15 Pickup from your hotel and transfer to the pier.

08:00 Board the high-speed catamaran to Ko Tao.
09:40 Arrive at Ko Nangyuan and transfer to snorkeling boat.
09:50 Arrive to first snorkeling area: Mango Bay, Ko Tao.
11:50 Depart to Ko Nangyuan and enter island.
12:00 Buffet lunch served, includes drink and desert.
12:30 Explore Nangyuan's amazing coral reef, relax on the perfect white beach or hike to the top of the mountain to enjoy the panoramic views.
14:30 Board the high-speed catamaran back to Koh Samui.
16:30 Arrival at the pier and transfer back to your hotel.

The VIP Speedboat will take you directly to Koh Tao in about one hour. On your trip we will circle Koh Tao starting from the south east for a great un-crowded snorkeling spot at Hin Wong Bay. After 45 minutes of snorkeling you will board the speedboat for a 5 minute ride to the next snorkeling site at to Gluay Thoen Bay.

This Bay is one of the less known and well preserve snorkeling spots that Ko Tao can offer. In both snorkeling sports, the speed boat will tie up to a mooring buoy close to the best snorkeling spots. From the moment you will get into the water you can explore amazing snorkeling spots full of friendly, colorful fishes and soft and hard corals.

The snorkeling equipment will be provided for you, as well as a life jacket so you can float around looking at the beautiful fishes and corals care-free. After the second snorkeling spot, the speedboat will continue west to Sairee Beach where a nice buffet lunch will be served in a fine restaurant overlooking the bright blue bay.

After the visit to Koh Tao we will take you to Ko Nangyuan Paradise Island, a short 10 minute ride. You will have 2 hours to explore Nangyuan above and below the water. Climbing to the hills for spectacular views, snorkel the world famous snorkeling locations, all within a 5 minute walk, such as the 'Japanese Gardens', 'Twins' and the 'Koh Nangyuan Pinnacle'. The snorkeling sites are clearly marked and closed off for all boats, so you can completely engulf yourself in the snorkeling experience without a worry in the world.

We will depart Nangyuan heading south back to Samui around 3:00pm and on the way will see Koh Tao and Phangan islands passing by
